Yum Yum is a handsome Dogue de
Bordeaux. His traumatic past can
still affect him if he becomes
anxious or frightened, so he will be
staying with us at the Sanctuary.
Click here to read about our Appeal
to build Yum Yum a large new
compound and warm kennel to
improve his quality of life.
Cycling with dogs is a good way
of giving plenty of exercise &
stimulation in a shorter time.
Mental stimulation is as
important as physical exercise for
rescue & boarding dogs.
Denzil is an American Bulldog who
has demonstrated some extremely
challenging behaviour since his
arrival, and even simple tasks like
putting a lead on him and taking
him for a walk proved hazardous.
However, he has made tremendous
progress and in time we are
optimistic about rehoming him.
Harley is a Husky cross (possibly
GSD x) rescued by S.H.A.R.E rescue.
They did some work with him and
then he came to us for
rehabilitation. He is more confident
now, and only pulls on his lead
when he knows he's heading for the
stream. After a good jumping
around in the water, he's very calm.
Special Rehabilitation Projects at Snowdonia Animal Sanctuary
We strive to improve the quality of life for many genuine people and their dogs. However, much of our
work is a 'drop in the ocean' of the misery & death created by profiteering, abuse, neglect & saturation of
dogs in the UK, but we can set an example & commit ourselves to the dogs who are brought to us.
Volunteers bag packing & collecting at the Co-op in Llanrwst
in aid of Yum Yum's Appeal. Rusty & Jet, a pair of charismatic
Patterdale/Fell type terriers. Very good with people.
Our Boarding Kennels are available all year round for long or
short-term stays. We accept dogs with behavioural issues and
provide exercise and stimulation for all of our boarders.
Pickle is a 3yr old male Bengal
